Do you also critique scripts? I have written 2 features, now working on the shorts to film first. But my goal is to get the features done, realizing one may be in development a while.

Purchased Save the Cat, but read other Snyder books already.

Hi Paula,

I just replied via email. As I mentioned in the email, and this goes for all members, I don’t typically critique scripts but rather completed films or videos. But if you’d like to send a copy by I’d be happy to look at it and give you some basic feedback.

Triggerstreet.com is a great place to get general feedback. But in the end it’s you who gets to choose how your movie goes. I like to say this: I wouldn’t have wanted to see “Reservoir Dogs” if Quentin had listened to a lot of “notes”. Ultimately the coolest new stuff comes from people with original voices. That said, it is good to make sure that you are not totally off the mark.

HEY! Just wanted to say that your program is fantastic. Was wondering if you had any other recommended readings for script writting in addition to Save The Cat.

Check out http://www.thestarterscreenplay.com The book “The Starter Screenplay” by Adam Levenberg, a USC Grad, is based on his years of reading bad scripts and what to avoid and do instead.

. . . uh, where’s that? Some of links on home for Film Fooled and links on mod 1 (the filmaking reference e-book and ninja short) aren’t working. Just an FYI but this is awesome. I almost went to film school myself, thank you.

Hi Kasey,

I just sent you an email. The course is not a DVD but completely digital. We used to offer DVDs but found it expensive and cumbersome for our students. Once you pay you get instant access to all the modules anywhere you have an internet connection; and the membership doesn’t expire.

Best,

Seth
